as a volunteer, i can say that everything on this list definitely will inspire doting volunteers! something i like to see, and i believe pastor ryan exudes, is confidence. no one enjoys serving a wobbly leader. we want to be sure that we can trust our leaders to lead us in the right direction. when i am most confident as a volunteer, is when i am most confident in the guidance and quality of leadership. placing myself under the submission of that leadership becomes effortless. i think ryan does a great job at leading so i thought i'd dote on him a bit!

[...] Jim Wideman writes, “A great goal for the New Year is to purpose in your heart to spoil your volunteers outside their classrooms as well as in. You’ve heard me say this before, you gain those you serve. It’s a spiritual law. Christ Jesus came to serve not to be served.” He goes on to post his top 10 list of steps to take to stand out as a leader who truly cares for volunteers. Read entire posting.
