Loving Leadership

Everyone ought to love being a leader for the Lord Jesus Christ. I am teaching through the Epistles of John to the adults in my church on Thursday nights. The apostle John said “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 4). John loved leadership!

Another one of my heros who loved leadership was D.L. Moody. In the spring of 1861 young Moody heard a preacher say, “The world has yet to see what God can do with and for and through and in and by the man who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him.” Moody later that day wrote these words: “He did not say a great man, or a learned man, or a rich man, or an eloquent man, or a clever man, simply a man. I am a man and by God’s grace for God’s glory I will be that man.”

D.L. Moody later said, “I love leadership. I want to be the man God uses to influence this world for the cause of Christ.”

Do you love leadership? Every children’s pastor, preacher, parent, ought to love leadership because of the great possibility of influencing others for Christ!

I love leadership. I love this post. I love you, man. Great post. Every person in ministry is a feeder or shepherd, they are a care giver, and they are n overseer. I’ve never understood why we children’s ministers love to teach or feed, we love to take care of the sheep but we don’t love to oversee or lead. Somebody has to be at the head of the pack why not mke the choice to let it be you!
It was great to see you at CPC, hope Seatle is a success. Go to the original Starbucks for me!
